2-coat wall putty covers 12 - 15 square feet per pound, while 3-coat putty covers 8 - 12 square feet. For 2 coatings, the coverage area for one bag (40kg) wall putty is 480-600 square feet, 320-480 square feet for 3 coatings.
The market offers a variety of Wall Putty products. Putty based on white cement, such as Birla Wall Care Putty, J.K. Wall Putty, White-gold Putty, etc, is the best option.
For calculating the quantity of wall putty required, the surface of plastered walls is also important. For a perfect finish on the plastered wall, you might need to apply three coats of Wall Putty. Generally, you can estimate consumption of approximately 12-15 sq ft if the surface finish is acceptable and there are no major undulations in the wall.
Paint
1 liter of paint covers 140 - 160 square feet, and 2 liters covers 70 - 80 square feet.
Based on a liter of paint, the coverage area of this paint is 8 sq m for new work plastering and 13.33 sq m for old work plastering.
Labor cost
Compared with interior painting, painting the exterior is cheaper but more difficult. Painting the exterior can be a complicated process as you may need scaffolding or a ladder pulley. It is often necessary to apply more paint to level exteriors as they are often more weathered.
