One Way Slab: The beams provide support to one way slab in only 2 sides :-
2) The proportion of longer span panel (L) to shorter span panel (B) is equivalent. or exceeding 2. Therefore, L/B>= 2.
3) Primary reinforcement is supplied in only one direction for one way slabs
Two Way Slab: Two way slabs belong to the slabs which are supported on four sides and the proportion of longer span (l) to shorter span (b) is under 2. In two way slabs, load will be transmitted in both the directions. So, primary reinforcement is delivered in both direction for two way slabs.
