BeamCALC - A useful construction program for linear analysis of a beam
BeamCALCT is a simplified construction program that supports Microsoft Excel 2007 or later. BeamCALCT consists of a wide array of worksheets. There exist a series of tabs at the bottom of the window useful for choosing the active sheet.
You just have to modify the values regularly in sheets 2 and 3 in beam design or parametric studies. There exist ten sheets properly assigned with names which become visible after sheet 3. There exist five sheets for simply supported beams and five sheets for cantilevered beams.
All sheets allot the same units, material properties and cross-sectional characteristics. Thus you don't require to modify these to compare results. The sheets assigned with names notify you the shape and stress in the beam and offer functional statistics, like the stress, mass, and volume of the beam.
If it is necessary to place two different types of loads on a single beam, it is suggested to apply the superposition sheets, but these sheets can be used if any error occurs. BeamCALC offers huge benefits for finite element analysis (FEA).
If your FEA results are unmatched with linearly elastic problems that meet the suppositions in sheet #1, something is erroneous with the FEA!
