Download the estimating spreadsheet for load analysis of a building. This estimating sheet is based on reinforced concrete as well as making analysis of mezzanine levels; roof deck and stairs.

The spreadsheet is very useful for engineers, registered architects and building contractors.

The structure located at high seismic areas is prone to be damaged critically. Together with gravity load the lateral load should be resisted as it develops extreme stresses in a building. In recent times, shear wall in R.C.structure and steel bracings in steel structure are widely accepted method to stand lateral load because of earthquake, wind, blast etc.

The shear wall is considered as one of the superior methods for withstanding lateral load that is mostly common in construction sectors whereas application of steel bracing will be the most effective solution for improving the resistance against earthquake.

The performance of the building is assessed on the basis of Lateral Displacement, Storey Shear and Storey Drifts, Base shear and Demand Capacity (Performance point). It is recommended to use the X type of steel bracing system as it can considerably improve the rigidity of the structure and minimize the maximum inter story drift, lateral displacement and demand capacity (Performance Point) of R.C.C building than the shear wall system.
