Domo appointed HEATHER DEASON ZYNCZAK as chief marketing officer (CMO). With close to 20 years of industry experience, Zynczak has held executive marketing and product management positions at some of the world’s largest enterprise technology companies. She spent the last six years at SAP, where she most recently served as global vice president of marketing. In that role, she was responsible for marketing SAP’s business suite of products representing more than $3 billion in annual revenue. Prior to SAP, she spent five years at Oracle as senior director of product strategy, setting the strategic direction for more than 30 high-revenue products. Zynczak also led product marketing at two Silicon Valley startups and served for a number of years as a business consultant for top firms including Accenture, The Boston Consulting Group and Booz Allen Hamilton.

MIKE HOLLAND was recently named vice president of the Federal Division at R&O Construction. Holland has been with R&O Construction since 1998. Previously he worked as the Senior Estimator and Project Manager for R&O’s Federal Group. He graduated from Weber State University in Construction Management, and is a LEED green associate. R&O is actively working on several federal projects located on three United States’ borders. He will oversee the project selection, estimating and operations of R&O’s federal projects as a business unit.

MIKE PHILLIPS was recently hired by R&O Construction as vice president of project development. Phillips brings 35 years of construction experience to the company. According to Slade Opheikens, chief operations officer: “Mike Phillips will help us improve our project development approach focusing on conceptual estimating, budgets, and presentations on larger, complex projects, taking us to a higher level of service.” R&O Construction is a 32 year old company that specializes in state, municipal and government projects, office buildings and office parks, retail centers, warehouses, recreation centers, medical buildings and more.

Holland & Hart attorney JOHN BECKSTEAD was elected to the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers (ACCFL). Membership in the ACCFL is limited to commercial finance lawyers, jurists and academics who have not only achieved preeminence in the field of commercial finance law, but who also have contributed significantly to the education of others in commercial finance law through teaching, lecturing or published writings. Beckstead’s commercial finance practice includes commercial lending transactions, loan documentation, problem loan workouts, factoring, secured transactions, letters of credit, negotiable instruments, and bank deposits.

J. MICHAEL JENSEN has been promoted to vice president and controller of Brighton Bank. In addition to his new responsibilities he will continue functioning as the Bank’s Accounting Information Officer/Systems Manager. Jensen has been with the Bank since 2001. Jensen holds a Bachelors Degree in Business-Accounting from the University of Phoenix and he has also earned certification as a Certified Community Bank Technology Officer by the Independent Community Bankers Association (ICBA).

Hatch & Associates law firm hired TAMMY EVANS as marketing & corporate development director after working for more than nineteen years with several national companies to create successful marketing plans and forge complex relationships, in marketing, public relations, promotions and events. She has been a Professional Marketing Consultant and business owner of a full-service promotional marketing & business printing agency for the last eight years. DEAN L OFFRET joined the firm as law clerk and new client strategist, with fifteen years experience in business assisting companies as they strategize and create marketing plans for new-market entry. He brings with him a passion to solve complex legal issues in contracts, disputes, and transactions. Offret has worked in a number of industries including health care, manufacturing, luxury luggage, prestige cosmetics, and health and fitness.

JONATHAN P. WENTZ joined Snow Jensen & Reece as an associate attorney focusing on commercial litigation, real estate and commercial transactions. Wentz is a graduate of Brigham Young University and George Mason University School of Law. While studying law at George Mason University, Wentz worked for an agency within the Department of Justice and gained first-hand experience with administrative law issues. He also served as an editor of the George Mason University Law School’s Civil Rights Law Journal, where he published an article on constitutional law as interpreted by the U.S. Supreme Court. After receiving his degree, he practiced construction and real estate law with a firm in Salt Lake City before moving to Southern Utah.

Durham Jones & Pinegar has hired ELISABETH C. SMITH as an associate in the firm’s Salt Lake City office. Smith’s practice will focus on a wide variety of corporate and securities law matters, including mergers and acquisitions, offerings of debt and equity securities, and general matters of business and finance law. Smith received a J.D, magna cum laude, from Boston University School of Law, and a B.A. in Economics, summa cum laude, from Utah State University. Smith is formerly affiliated with the law firm Goodwin Procter LLP and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Departments of Labor and Workforce Development. Most recently, Smith taught contracts and legal writing as a part-time faculty member at Boston University School of Law.

D Machine hired BRYAN CROWELL as general manager. Due to business growth, the 100 person, 33-year-old manufacturing company is making this addition to the management team with hopes of increasing productivity and efficiency and to prepare for future growth. Crowell brings 25 years of experience in manufacturing, quality and operations. He has experience in defense and automotive industries. He is specifically trained in the methodologies of the Toyota Production System and has managed repeat Shingo Award winning operations.

Real Estate Mortgage Network, Inc. continues to strengthen its wholesale division with the addition of veteran account executives in Salt Lake City with the addition of JOSH KRAMER and MELANIE ROCHA, who bring with them a combined total of more than 30 years of lending industry experience.
