KALISPELL - Five construction companies have submitted their bid to be selected for the remaining section of the Highway 93 bypass in Kalispell. The majority of the companies have ties to the Flathead Valley.
Engineers have estimated the project should cost around $6.73 million.
Among those in the running are Schellinger Construction, LHC, LS Jensen Construction, Nelcon and Knife River.
The project would reconfigure the intersection of US 93 and West Reserve Drive and build a half mile stretch of four lane bypass from that area, south to Reserve Street.
